Happy Chinese New Year

It's the year of the Dragon, and David is psyched because he's a dragon and is due for some luck! I know I could use some luck too because I have a lot to catch you all up on, like losing 5lbs and clapping- Jonathan claps now! But I'll start at the earliest pictures I haven't yet posted:

For a fun FHE we took Jonathan to:

This is a live nativity a.k.a "A Journey to Bethlehem" where actors dress up and recreate what it would have been like to be in Bethlehem on the night the Savior was born. Here we are in line

Despite the cold we really did have a great time, we just didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked!

This is the entrance:

This is a camel, yes there were REAL ANIMALS!!

 You can't see them, but there were shepherds sitting around this fire (hahaha, a few were wearing bifocals)

Here are their sheep (so cute, you could pet them, 

Jonathan had no interest in them whatsoever, but he loved the fire)

 Here is the climax, the Savior is born and the 

Angel hovers over the stable to lead the wise men & shepherd to worship him

As it was a really fun, and it was a lot of fun

We're already looking forward to it this year!
