Back Story

We’ve been married for 3 months, & looking back I just realized that I never posted our story, so here it is!

How We Met, Wooed, & Became Engaged:

The truth is, Ann vividly remembers running quite forcefully into David while Ice Skating on Jan. 7 2010 in Lynchburg. David vaguely remembers a conversation that took place earlier that same night about Southerners but says he does not specifically remember her, or her Muppet scarf from that night. The next night is considered their first meeting at the SVU welcome dance. He asked her to dance and because neither of them dance very well they enjoyed laughing at each other the entire time. After the night of laughter they both knew they'd need a good excuse to run into each other again. Ann discovered he had recently come home from his mission in the Dominican Republic and was fluent in Spanish and since she couldn't, and truthfully still can't, speak Spanish to save her life, tutoring seemed the perfect bait. He bit the very next day. After a week or two of taking two hours to finish thirty minutes of Spanish homework, a twelve hour LOTR marathon, and a talk in sacrament about obedience the next Sunday, David asked Ann out on their first date. Their first date continued in what is now a tradition of uncontrollable laughter and fun. Six weeks later David accompanies Ann down to her parent's home in GA to visit for Spring Break. March 8th the Fowler family celebrated the birth of Eleanor Marie Fowler (who was actually born in February) and David met the Fowler "gang" and told her father (in his truck) that they were indeed, serious. Later that night in Ann's truck, completely unplanned or expected, he asked her to marry him.
