I am Grateful for Family

Langdon is asleep, the laundry & dishes are done, my inbox is cleared & I've run out of things that I can do here... so now I have time to sit and reflect a little on how grateful I am for my family. My parents are awesome, I know most people feel that way, but I really don't think I could have ended up with any pair quite as perfect for me as them. They are hilarious, fun-loving & all in all my favorite people to sit around with and do absolutely nothing (can't wait till Christmas). I'm certain I got my since of adventure from my father, my laugh from my mother & my love of learning from both. I'm grateful for their encouragement & support in ALL the many many activities & loves I had growing up ranging from church b-ball to the reading bowl. I'm also grateful to my brothers, all three, for their examples- I've idealized them since I could wrestle them. John was my defender, James my contender & Miles my constant companion who most often had to put up with me. No three could have better prepared me for life than they or can make me laugh as hard. I'm also grateful to my new family who have welcomed me in, loved me, and frequently has fed me!

Thank you all!

as for baby update I did blood & paper work last Friday & this Friday I'm getting a head to toe physical

and according to babycenter.com this week:

How your baby's growing:
Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.
