last week was rough

so I'm thinking today is going to be a fresh start
I had an appointment with the OB today but the office called and told me they wanted to reschedule me to their other office in Fishersville because the Lexington office is flooded. I told her to call me when they open the office back up because I'm not driving out all that way when gas is the highest it's been in 2 months and I'd have to get a babysitter for at least 4 hours instead of 1- not going to happen. Other than that today has been a good fresh start. Jonathan woke up cheerful and has kept it up all day. I got through all my visiting teaching calls and got to set 2 out of 3 appointments for September this week. I also have a new companion who is in the musical and even when that is over we'll probably still have schedule conflicts because she's a student and I can't do evenings. But it's "all good". I know it sounds awful but I really do just want to check it off my long list of things to do. I love the sisters I visit but I hate making "appointments" especially since they are busy moms too.
Jonathan's main phrase this month "no-o-no-o-no-o"
and he's had a really itchy nose lately and rubs it with both hands but it's like a hit and rub so it kinda looks like he's trying to knock himself out.
He's getting better at not throwing his sippy-cup when he's finished or wants more.
His favorite game is peek-a-boo.
His favorite toy right now is a tie between the box and cut out shapes and his zebra scooter... and maybe all books, he LOVES to go through his books, my books, and daddy's books- all book things.
Oh, and everything is a cell phone, the remote, his diaper cream, his spoon- everything.
here are some old pictures, about a month old.... just a typical day playing with daddy
I will send you the books I have next month, so you'll get three at once. Did you watch the video I linked to, it made it even better. You should make a series of pictures for him when he's older of all the things he uses as a phone, the odder the better, lol.
ReplyDeletebahahaha, I should- it's just hard to catch him doing it because as soon as the camera is out he stops what he was doing and wants to play with the camera! Yay books :D no- I don't think I got the link??
Deleteoh, the weeks like that... when you just want them to be over, but you feel guilty for not enjoying the little things...
ReplyDeletei hope you're feeling better these days, at least! and don't even get me started on visiting teaching, eek. i have the same deal with a companion who is a student. sigh.
ah! I know right! I'm one of the supervisor people but the coordinator never listens when I tell her there are logistical issues- she's an eternal optimist (also doesn't have any kids)...
DeleteI am feeling mostly better though- just super super picky and the smell of bacon and maybe even meat in general just grosses me out- today I'm putting on a mask to clean out the fridge lol, and am putting in a new baking soda box
