We needed a desk and QUICKLY because we ordered the mac last Monday and knew it'd be in by Friday. So I checked every Restore with no luck and it came down to the antique mall- always dangerously priced here. But we were in luck, I found this drafting table for $25 and David refinished the top and I painted the bottom white to match the rest of the furniture (and because I knew it would dry faster and we were running out of time). We LOVE the way it turned out minus the chair, which will be to be re-sanded and refinished on a much warmer & dryer weekend sometime before the baby gets here. Until then, you can see I'm using David's adjustable piano bench. Oh, and the empty wall behind was driving me crazy so I finally put my paint chip stash to use and gave in to the semi-hombre herringbone design craze. I did a terrible job, but I still actually like the way it looks, and so does David, so no complaints here!
I've started dozens of projects simultaneously and look forward to sharing them as I finish!
and because it's been so long, here is a picture of Jonathan's First Buzz (it was awful, he hated it and I ended up having to redo it shorter the second time) but after watching David get buzzed, Jonathan handled it much better the second time around.
I know it's hard to see because he is so blond, but it really is starting to come in thick!
he looks so grown up! oh my goodness!
