Isn't it Lovely!

I'm BACK! I would have posted yesterday, but I couldn't find the cord to my camera (I'd gotten use to just using my SD card with my laptop and the MAC requires the cord), but I found it today while doing so picky organizing- hurray! I've been doing a lot of picky cleaning and organizing lately and I'm loving it because I'm in SUPER DUPER NESTING MODE! Nesting mode for Jonathan was pretty intense too, but that was before I'd really discovered Pinterest so now it's on a whole new level. David is is being extremely tolerant with me having a bunch of stuff out at a time, everywhere and it being on and off in spurts- but secretly I think he really likes the results and doesn't mind. Like THIS PROJECT:

We needed a desk and QUICKLY because we ordered the mac last Monday and knew it'd be in by Friday. So I checked every Restore with no luck and it came down to the antique mall- always dangerously priced here. But we were in luck, I found this drafting table for $25 and David refinished the top and I painted the bottom white to match the rest of the furniture (and because I knew it would dry faster and we were running out of time). We LOVE the way it turned out minus the chair, which will be to be re-sanded and refinished on a much warmer & dryer weekend sometime before the baby gets here. Until then, you can see I'm using David's adjustable piano bench. Oh, and the empty wall behind was driving me crazy so I finally put my paint chip stash to use and gave in to the semi-hombre herringbone design craze. I did a terrible job, but I still actually like the way it looks, and so does David, so no complaints here!

I've started dozens of projects simultaneously and look forward to sharing them as I finish!

and because it's been so long, here is a picture of Jonathan's First Buzz (it was awful, he hated it and I ended up having to redo it shorter the second time) but after watching David get buzzed, Jonathan handled it much better the second time around.

I know it's hard to see because he is so blond, but it really is starting to come in thick!
