Current News

So... recently we haven't been up to much more than work/school & getting as much sleep as we can. But between it all David & I are happy & having a blast. David has worked his schedule so that he will be graduating early next December & will get his BA in music before going to a dental hygenist program (most likely) in VA. It's a two year program and then he will be able to work! He's very excited and this week he'll be on a RAM (remote area medical) trip to shadow dentists, the great part is that he only needs 16hrs shadowing & a decent gpa to get into his program! He also has midterms/concerts coming up & maybe a NYC travel study trip in October. In other words, he will be gone for a good part of the month!

As for me, I'm loving my work. I start the day playing with Langdon until he's worn out for his morning nap, then I hit the laundry (hers & mine), the dishwasher & start preparing dinner (because I never know when I'll just my next chance). Then Langdon wakes up & needs a bottle & to be changed and occasionally burped (mostly he burps himself now-it's GREAT!).

Play usually goes: toys (under the sea mat if I'm still cooking), books, music and by then, he's just about ready for his next nap). And here he is:

So my days go by SO fast in this pattern. When the weather is nice we go on walks/safari hunts (looking for all his toy's relatives in the wild) or go on errands.

By the time 5:30pm rolls around he's happy, laundry is done, dinner is on the Detwiler's counter and mine is packed away to bring home to David (except for the days David needs the truck and then we have dinner at the Detwiler's)!

Life is great. And this week the best news has been that we are at the top of the list for the housing we want & we found a couple to move in ANYTIME after the paperwork goes through!

here is our now apartment:

*the bed now has "romantic" white sheer curtains

Honestly, I've never been SO happy, nor So grateful for all my many blessings.

*especially the opportunity to move into a bigger apartment!!
