Finally- I'm really Decorating for Halloween for the FIRST time!

Here is what I've been up to in my "spare" time :D

Note to self- next year it is worth it to buy the dollar "webs"
I'll never use fluff again, but the hot glue threads look awesome in person

this was my favorite yet most time consuming project- I didn't want to use paper because I want to reuse them forever... or at least a few years. So, I decoupaged  cardboard and hung them from fishing wire- favorite feature is that I can still close the blinds and curtains without doing the bats any damage and no fuss
SEE! Here it is closed

I couldn't help myself-just construction paper but I really love it- it makes me smile every time I pass it

I really should have taken a picture of them lit- they look awesome when they are glowing
I didn't have any spray paint or $ so I used my modpodge to make the glass tacky so acrylic would stick, did a MILLION layers and then a sealing coat and wa-la, candy corn bottle/candles

gotta love the dollar store- 9ft of wired spider ribbon
and from now on, I will ONLY use wired ribbon for this wreath... no Halloween cards, yet?

they tray was my other favorite- I did it last night while listening to the debates- all just construction paper and I already had the tray. I modeled it after a hanging wooden decoration I saw on pinterest.

Besides getting geared up for the Holiday Season and doing some super cleaning we haven't been up to much. We'll start Jonathan's costume this weekend....
and sorry, we still won't know the gender of the baby till Oct 17th- but we're not announcing till the 21st!

    1. haha, gladly! We just worked it out with mommer though that we'll be coming down for Thanksgiving!! Because of the way the break is set up we'll actually get a whole week!
But we'd love to come see you in Augusta- We're planning on moving down there next summer to establish residency and we were hoping you guys would help us find a little house to rent? We've crunched some numbers and if we do get into to mcg it's our first choice, but if we don't we won't have lost out $ to have already moved...again, not till early/mid summer but we're already gearing up to get out of VA!

    2. Definitely! Whenever you guys want you can come and hang out and look for places. We'll give you an idea of good places to live, and MCG has a pretty good website that people post their houses on. Just let us know when!
